Youth Work

...somewhere to go,  something to do

For young people aged 11 - 25

Berwick Youth Project is very much a ‘Youth Work’ organisation – that means that young people are at the heart of everything we do. The relationship between BYP and the young person is entirely voluntary – no-one is ever made to attend if they don’t want to. We listen, and provide a safe space and supportive adults to help young people to address their concerns and ambitions.

Community Crew

The Beehive is our dedicated space for our Community Crew activities.  We currently offer two opportunities to join us; 11-17 year olds can take part in a range of on-site activities including games, arts and crafts, music and chats with a youth worker.  They can also take part in volunteering in the local community and in local and national projects.

16-25 years olds who are engaged with, or have accessed SEND provision, can join us in the Beehive for youth work activities to develop confidence and skills.

Northumberland Challenge

The Northumberland Challenge is a free booklet which sets out six ‘missions’. Pick up a booklet from the Project, complete the missions and get a fantastic certificate to hang on your wall from the High Sheriff of Northumberland. The Youth Project can help you complete the Challenge, which is available all over the County. What are you waiting for?!
