Drop-In
Our drop-in is not a crisis service or a youth club. Instead, it’s a welcoming space where young people can feel heard and supported, and leave with a clearer idea of the help available to them in Berwick and beyond.
We may not have all the answers, but we are here to listen, to understand, and to point you towards the resources that could make a difference for your mental health and well-being.
Information and Support
At BYP, we’re here to support young people with a wide range of challenges, including:
Jobsearch & CVs – guidance to boost your confidence and skills for work
Practical & Emotional Support – someone to talk to and help with everyday struggles
School Issues – advice and support with learning or school-related worries
Mental Health – listening and pointing you towards the right help
Relationships – support with friendships, family, or partners
Self-Harm & Bereavement – compassionate guidance during difficult times
And much more – whatever’s on your mind, we’re here to help
Counselling
The free and confidential counselling service is designed to help young people aged 12-25 feel heard, valued, and supported, offering a bridge to further resources and helping them build resilience during difficult times. Counselling is part of BYP’s wider mission to provide information, support, and opportunities that empower young people in Berwick.
You don’t have to face things alone—we’re here to help.
"I never knew about all the different things they could help me with. Am glad I popped in. My one question to them helped me to go into volunteering and back into education. They gave me confidence"
"They gave me an ear to bend when no one else was there to turn to. They helped me realise that not everyone is the same, and that people make mistakes but do deserve another chance to make things right"
"I really think that all the staff in the Information & Support team are kind, caring and very helpful with every person who walks through the door. They have helped me get back on my feet after having problems with my family. The team are the greatest bunch of people I have ever met!"
"I’m definitely much better now that I was. I haven’t hurt anybody since I started my support sessions at BYP. I know now that I was never broken….I just thought I was."
